Thumbs up Nero 6.6.0.13 + NeroVision Express 3.0.1.7

Another update of the number 1 burning app is available now !
Even a nearly perfect program can become better

changelog Nero Burning:

Bug Fixes
-AAC Audio encoder settings not applied
-Error using disc finalize feature in the 'Disc Info' section
-Using UDF as default file system for using dual layer DVD-R medias with multisession compilation
-Nero Express did not ask to save a LightScribe document if the application was closed by ALT+F4 or the [X] close button
-An internal LightScribe error occurred for print and/or preview if Nero was accessing (e.g. erasing) the same device
-An "Internal error" occurred if accessing a folder which was linked to a remote network path
-Added advisory messages

changelog NeroVisionExpress:

New Features
Added *.mod to supported video file formats
Bugfixes
Writing a DVD-Video project failed with Burn-at-once
Content import problems occurred if the source media was a DVD-RAM written in VR mode
In some rare cases the application could hang if capturing directly to a DVD-RAM media
Exporting a video title to uncompressed *.avi format caused a crash in Windows 9x
In some cases and with certain drives, a runtime error appeared when writing a DVD VR to a DVD-RW media
If two files, one audio and one video, were added together to the storyboard, the application crashed
The application sometimes hung if a "Capture to VR" process was interrupted by the user
If a user changed the volume label while appending video titles to a VR disc, the changes were ignored
The Windows maximize button was not enabled
Writing a DVD-Video project to a dual layer DVD-R media failed in some rare cases
Renamed "Record directly to VR" to "Record directly to DVD"
In some cases the application crashed when compiling a slide show
Capturing to HDD using the DV template was not working
Some MPEG-2 files were out of sync when re-used for a DVD-Video project
The application showed a 4:3 preview when recording 16:9
Direct recording using a Mini-DV Camcorder as source was not working
Dolby(C) Digital 5.1 encoder could produce jumps in the audio stream

Thanks for the update Master. But if you want the upgrade, I would suggest waiting a few hours. The Nero servers are slammed at the moment. The download time for me said 1 hour, 35 minutes!

Sounds like they've finally fixed the bug between those two then - it was getting to be rather a morass of problems, a patch, and "better off sticking with 6.6.0.8" - that Ahead are still fixing old bugs and creating new ones, at what should be a mature, "drive support only" stage of version 6 (after all, there has been nothing really worthy of bumping the minor version to 6.3 and then 6.6) is rather disappointing.

Mind you, the same disease seems to afflict a lot of software - by the time it's really well sorted, it's time to start again with the next version!
