      Question .xls???

Am I thick or what? With what do I open an xls file?
Notepad displays nonsense and Word wants a converter, suggesting I should be using something else...
Sorry if it's an obvious thing.
Any help and I'll be eternally gratefull

      Lightbulb .xls files

If u aint got microsoft office: right click on the file and select quick view.
You should be able to read the file but not edit it.

      Thumbs up

Cheers mate.I've got MS word from office xp installed, I'll just have to dig out the cd and install the converter it's asking for!
I just thought it must open with something else with it needing a converter for MS Word.
