Try Nero 5.5.7.8 .... There r new options with UDF File system ... use UDF1.02 and try it again...it should work now ...

      just open a new project ... I use DVD-ROM (ISO/UDF)
and then press the "UDF" BUTTON ...
on the bottom of this window u can select "UDF FILE SYSTEM VERSION" .... BUT ONLY IN NERO 5.5.7.8 ... in 5.5.7.2 this isn´t available ...

after trying this .. please post your experiences with psx + dvd-r ... thx ...( cause I had not got the time to try this) I should still work

      Thumbs up neo 2.2

      i use a neo 2.2

i had a neo 4 but i had nothing but trouble
so i went back to a 2.2 i think it is a stable chip

so you have to use a boot disc big deal (ar1.95)

(ar2.2) too much messing around to boot dvdr

      Smile oh s**t not a v2.0 ar2

      here goes

      1. first turn on your ps2 and put in your ar2.0 then turn it off by the reset button

      2. now turn it back on hold your finger on the (reset.on) button and dont take it off till i tell you to ( this means hold it down )

      3. when it has loaded go to select codes and pick
( DAVE MIRRA BMX ) and make sure all the codes are highlighted
i hope you are still holding the power button

      4. press the eject button and put in a dvd game or a demo disc
must be a dvd (BIG TOC) now close the tray wait 20 seconds and press start (STILL HOLDING THAT BUTTON)

      5. you should now be on the screen which says (WITHOUT CODES) or (WITH CODES) you want with codes press X on with codes

      6. you should see a message that says (TO MANY CODES)
now let go of the reset button the tray will come out by its self
quickly change the dvd game or demo with the dvdr game you only have 5 seconds to do this the tray will close by its self

      7. press X button now just press start and now select
      (WITHOUT CODES) and press X

      8. hey presto the game has loaded i told you that ar2.0
was a bit of a nightmare

      ps

go and buy ar1.9? much easier to load dvdr

how did you burn it? mgs2

get yourself a demo disc of the front of a magazine

ie: official playstation2 must be a dvd rom not dvd video
one that you can play the demos of games on

this will boot dvdr big toc

      Talking playstation 2 dvd movie

i burnt a dvd movie in nero 5578 udf 1.02 with a branded disc
this did not work in my ps2

i burnt a dvd movie in primo 2.0 with a branded disc
      this did not work

i burnt a dvd movie in primo 2.0 with a unbranded disc
and it worked fine in my ps2

i have not tried nero 5578 udf 1.02 with a unbranded disc yet
i will be trying this soon

so far primo 2.0 with unbranded dvd is the way to go
