Arrow ** Help Strange Media.! **

      Hi..

I Have A Few DATASAFE MEDIA Cd's. That Write At 24x Speed..
Heres The Strange Bit, When I Insert In To CD/DVD RW Drive [Pioneer 106D].

I Load Up Imageburn Image Writing Program.
It Recognizes The Media As Empty, But When I Finish Writing On The Media The Media Is Still Empty..

      NOTHING RECORDED.. Wierd. !!

my guess is crappy media ... take a look at the disk has it burnt on the disk at all ?!

you can usually see the area that has burned its duller than the rest of the disk

      try burn slower e.g. 16x

Have you checked that you are accidentally doing some kind of pre burn testing and not the actual burn? some software will allow you to do a test burn but will not actually write to the media

Have you got any other brand media to test ?!

this will eliminate if your burner is fritzed or not

Some burners, such as the Plextor PX-760A (which I use) burn at certain speeds for given media. I had Nero set to burn at 12X and I typically use Verbatim DVD's. When watching the burn speed, it went to 16X because afterwards I found the blank dvd's only did rates of 2, 4, 8, 16, Check to see what speeds your media can effectively be burned at.
If at first you dont succeed, Try a gun!
