CDR audio recommendations

is fuji still the way to go for CDR, esp for audio? i have used the data TDK CDRs for years but they have gotten worse in the past couple years. now they are made all slightly warped so if you lie them upside-down, flat on a table, the center area is elevated from the outside, which can cause reading problems during the end of the disc on some players.

any recommendations for 50 or 100 pack spindles for solid audio CDRs?

thanks

@ shape,

FujiFilm and TDK like most retailers of CD/DVD media do not actually manufacture the CD/DVD themselves that they market. They purchase the CD/DVD media in mass bulk purchases from various large CD/DVD media manufactures and then they package the media in packages with their brand name stamped on the package. Sometimes they contract with quality media manufactures and sometimes they don’t.

In many circles Taiyo Yuden (TY) CD/DVD media is considered top of the line high quality media. Usually the FujiFilm CD/DVD media, which has Made In Japan stamped on the package, is Taiyo Yuden manufactured media. Avoid purchasing CD/DVD media manufacture in any other country other than Made In Japan because the quality of the media is unknown and should be considered suspect.

Rima.Com (http://www.rima.com) is a known reliable source of Taiyo Yuden (TY) CD/DVD media and their prices are reasonable. To avoid the problem associated with cheap substandard media only purchase top of the line high quality media, which only coast a few cents more than the cheap substandard media.

Regards,
Coaster

Mitsui also makes top notch CDR media. Checkout before, as fakes are around- they should be either "Made in Japan" or "Made in France"... every other origin is suspect.

hey thanks a lot guys.

do you know if these fuji cdrs are made in japan?
http://www.buy.com/retail/product.as...121010&loc=111

hard to tell with all these online spindles, as the country of origin is usually just printed on the packaging.

also, does anyone know if the prodisc thermal CDRs are made in japan?
