Dvd-R burning

I would appreciate help with a problem I have been facing. Whenever I burn a dvd from my files folder, the transcoding process seems to take long, I would say it takes between 1-2 hours. Does anyone have any codecs to speed this transcoding burning process up. Thanks and Peace!

which do u mean??

if its encoding a movie file to DVD compatable files 1 - 2 hours seems fine
codecs cant speed it up & if u are gettin a result u have the correct codec installed.
