Nec Nd-3520a & +rw Media?

I'm using the Liggie 2.18 firmware and I changed the bitsetting to DVD-Rom. So my question can I change the booktype on a DVD+RW thats was burnt before as DVD+RW or is for only new +RW media?
I've tried +R and that worked with out a problem.

I found this and it worked for me. At least on 2 0f 3 RICOHJPNW11.

Nero CD-DVD Speed 3.50
(www.cdspeed2000.com): By selecting Erase Disc... from the Extra menu, and then using the Format button, the disc is erased and formatted with a BookType set to DVD-ROM - provided that this BookType setting is already enabled in the firmware of course! A Quick Format seems to be sufficient.

No real need to do all that, just copy the +RW contents to HD and re-burn back (after a quick format) but with bitsetting set to DVD-ROM. The booktype is ONLY burnt in when the final burn is done, not prior.
