The SM-308B is a combo (CD-RW + DVD-ROM), not a DVD writer, it will never be able to write DVD media.

If the software supports it, the best you can do is VCD or SVCD - or a "MiniDVD" on CD, but player compatibility (as well as playing time) of MiniDVD is seriously restricted
