Can anybody shine any light on this problem. I am using a Pioneer 107D, up until today everything burnt OK. BUT when I was burning a DVD tonight it suddenly stopped. It still plays game disc`s and also plays audio but it will not recognize DVD`s. Any help please.

There can be different optical and electronic paths for different functions - I had a DVD-ROM become incapable of reading DVD's (pressed DVD, that I knew it had been ok with), but would still read CD.
Is it reading pressed DVD, or only CD ?
Can it still write CD-R ?
