Since acquiring a new box with an HPDVD400i 8X DVD+R/RW, I have pretty much given up on CD media for anything other than making jam CDs from my collection. However, I still use packet writing (DLA) software on CD-RW (for transferring files back and forth between work and home) and DVD+RW (for a daily backup of game saves, purchased download installs, etc.).
I have figured out that for CD-R or DVD+/-R, the only choice at dvdrbase is Ritek, specifically those discs identified as RICOHJPN. I lucked into these buying Memorex DVD+R at WallyMrt. Does anyone have suggestions for CD-RW or DVD+RW media. I have some DVD+RW identified by DVDinfopro as Philips 041 (Memorex branded 4x). Any good?
I don't usually leave data on RW media very long. Just long enough to make sure everything's correct and then disc copy to R media. I'd appreciate any suggestions from the pros here.
