Brand of DVD/R/RW to buy for backing up DVD's and or PS2 Games?

Dont know about PS2 but for backing up movies any DVD-R with Ritek G04 dye (IMHO)

Yep ... I would second that. Riteks are good for X-Box and PS2 also, just avoid any overprints.
