      DVD-rom blanks

Can U burn a dvd format movie onto a DVD-rom disc and be read correctly?? Or are they strictly data and will not play as movie files on a stand-alone DVD player?

Standalone players have varying ability with DVD-R / DVD+R media, and it may even depend on the writer used as well.

So the rather perverse answer is, it should, unless it can't.

If you have a dual format (+/-) writer, it's as well to try both formats with a tricky player - or look it up
