      PSE explain "mastering application".. do you meen the program I use to do the burning??

      would be nice to know who actually made the disc just a thought though!!

      Yes, the program you use for burning. Some of them even use a CD/DVD media database, and can also check the overburing capacity of the disk. VOB Instant CD/DVD is a good example.

      DVDDecrytpter in ISO mode tells you all the data on the DVDR blank.

      Talking DVD Identifier

      You can get a very reliable DVD+/- R/RW identifier <a href="http://dvdplusid.cdfreaks.com/">here</a>. The others don't work well at all.
