      Unhappy Smartripper

      Help ??--When i am ripping a dvd using smartripper it stops ripping at about 96% and asks to stop ripping and when u press no it does nothing and freezes ! but i am using w98me not xp so could that be the problem - help.. please !

      98 AND ME WILL only allow about 4gig to be saved put on xp as this lets u save more

      no thats not true ....

      FAT 32 filesystem will only allow files up to 4gb (each)
      NTFS supports bigger files ...

      no... you donīt have to put XP on your machine ...
      cause if u rip a dvd u will not get a file which is bigger than 1GB...

      the filesize limit is only a prob if u transcode movies or stuff which produce such big files ...

      I donīt think that is has something to do with your OS ...

      try another Ripping tool ...

      Is the DVD scratched? Have you cleaned it ? Cleaning can help tremendously.

      Have a try of DVDDecryptor, in some ways, just as good as SmartRipper. You can get the latest version from w*w.doom9.net download section.
