How to add subs to dvd?

I have this movie called "Johnny Stecchino (toothpick)" It's in Italian with Italian subs. I want to add English subs. I copied all the vobs, ifos, and bups to my hard drive. I downloaded an English sub file with a .srt extention, I have no idea what to do next. Can anyone help? Thanks

Finding random subs on the net is rather hit and miss, usually you will get sync issues, different framerates etc. Sometimes you can fix it with fex. submagic or subtitle workshop.

If your subs are fine and synced this is basicly what id do:
Demux the vobs into elementary streams(dvdlab can open vobs but i still prefer to demux with pgcdemux).
Reauthor and add the subs with dvdlab pro.

Thanks bionic, I will look into it. Someone else recommended AutoGK, but did say sync could be a problem.

AutoGk is fine if you want to encode your video to xvid/divx.
Personally i wouldnt, you will loose quality.
