which Toshiba DVD-ROM is better ??

      hi

i have Toshiba DVD-ROM 1512 and 1612 and i see there is a new drive from toshiba called 1712.

      see here

      http://www.toshiba-europe.com/storag...ptype=DVDROMHH

so what do you think ??

i think the 1612 is the best because it has 512KB Data Buffer.
and the 1712 is better in access time because its 85ms.

I would be concerned with either drive.Dvd-Ram is probably going to become obsolete.Just my thought.

yep ...agree... wouldn´t buy this drive .... if u think u need DVD-Ram u should search for a "combo" drive ..(-R/rw & -Ram) or something like that
