      how to play dvd's?

      Hi,i've just swapped my cd-rom for a dvd-rom and want to play films on my pc.Do i need a decoder card or can i install some software to decode to mpeg?i've a good spec m/c using xp pro the player is a panasonic,if i can use software which file can i use

      You need a soft DVD player. such as powerDVD, WinDVD etc to play DVD moveis on the PC. An up to date mediaplayer will to, ver 9 for example.
