dvd burning with menus

anyone out there got a fool proof way of ripping a dvd with menus,extras.
i know there is a tutorial on doom9,it starts off nice and simple,but then he assumes everyone knows how to frameserve,create a d2v project and so forth.
is there no simpler way or is that it.

but if u don´t know how to get a d2v ?!
u should read the DVD2avi guide + Vfapi conv ...located in the tutorial section....
