      Major Burning Question!! Help!!

Here's the problem I have. If i burn a DVD-R in Nero using DVD-Video, it plays fine in my stand-alone. If I use Prassi or Nero's UDF\ISO it will not play in the stand-alone, but will play in computer. Well, you say fine burn in Nero DVD- Video then. Well the files I make when transcoding & authoring in SpruceUp or Maestro or Scenarist will not burn in Nero DVD-Video, I get a reallocation error and have to burn with UDF\ISO or Prassi to get the DVD to burn. But then the resulting DVD only plays in my computer, not in my stand-alone. So what can I use (authoring- wise or burning) to get files that will burn in Nero's DVD-Video mode so I can use them on my stand-alone unit? I'm stumped and searched every forum for this one to no avail. I've tried DVD-r & DVD-rw media and 2 different brands with no luck. Could it be my stand-alone? It's a Genica Kalua GN-800. It plays VCD's, SVCD's and DVD-R's when no transcoding is needed.

      hmm...

after authoring u should run Ifo Edit (load the ifofiles) and use the GetVTS function ! or let IfoEdit create new ones....

I think step one (getvts) should be enough to solve your prob ...
      then use Nero s DVD-Video project ...

btw --> the ifo files are the source of your prob .. not Prassi or Nero....

I hope that helps, mate ...

keep us(me) uptodate if it works or not

      One more newbie question!

I'm in NTSC, which m2v file (from CCE) should I be loading into the authoring program? the Pulldown_Encoded_Video_NTSC or the Encoded_Video_CCE_NTSC ? I've been using the "Pulldown" file.

don´t know mate cause I´m @ PAL ...but
use DVD Fusion for authoring --> insert one of these movie files and watch the preview (simulate=name of the function)
then u should be able to decide which is the right one

Use the PULLDOWN file, that way any jitter SHOULD have been removed.

Have a look at this thread, PULLDOWN didn't quite work for me.

I used the "Pulldown" file and authored in SpruceUp and used IfoEdit to "get vts sectors" File burned great in Nero VIDEO-DVD and played great in my Standalone player......
