DVDiT problem

Trying to create a DVD disc with DVDiT that has menus etc from 3 vcd movies, I create the menu and all the links to the mpeg files but keep getting a message that the project is to big for a disk(it says over 7 gig), I have checked and the total of the files is 3.7 gig so it should fit no probs. Anyone had this problem and can advise on what I am doing wrong, or what other software can someone recommend that can do the job for me.

What version are you using?

There is also another such program by Sonic on the forum called DVD Producer. It is actually a higher-end program but may also be less easy to use for the casual home user.
