      Question VHS to DVD

      Is there a program or a device that will transfer your VHS tapes to a DVD. I would like to transfer family outings that were taken on VHS tapes to DVD. Is this possible ?

      VHS to DVD is possible ... but not as easy as it sounds ....

      --> U will need a GFX Card with Vid in --> capture from VHS
      --> (maybe reencoding is required)
      --> authoring
      --> burn the compilation to DVDR

      1st get a IEEE 1394 Firewire PCI card. Capture using Pinnacle Studio 8.0, can be download from CDRsoft.cc forum. Use Search... last get a DVD-R/W or +R/RW writer drive. It will take a hard time to make the final Home DVD. Is good as watching Movie DVD.

      Thumbs up Dazzle dvd creation station

      Dazzle dvd creation station Found this @ tigerdirect.com.. It claims to create dvds from vhs tapes. Looks promising.
