Question Combine 2 DVDs to 1

I want to put Pearl Harbor which is 2 DVDs to 1 DVD-R.
The first DVD has a file which is 5.7 GB and the second is about 1.7 GB (Both are very high encoding rates).

I ripped both with smart ripper and took bit rate down. Now I have 2 m2v files and 2 ac3 files.

What is the best way to author the one dvd which combines the 2 DVD parts?

It was suggested to use Cool Edit to combine the sound tracks.

      Is there an easier way.

      TIA
