ok having a little trouble.
backed up a dvd movie and it locks up about half way through.
works fine in pc dvd rom and burner.
using prassi(2.0.829) with px engine 342, global image on 3.7gig movie.
and burn with pioneer A04 on legacy DVD-R media at 1speed.
can also do a dvd decrypt and ifo edit the movie and burn video folder
and same thing happends.
could it be:
dvd burner
dvd-r media
dvd player plays some through but not others.
love some advice and direction

it will go to a still picture and then stop
i played with it till i broke it
sorry a bit more info.
i can watch the movie and i will get momentry pausing then the picture will totally freeze then it will turn itself off.
in the computer in will play all the way through even when jumping from scene to scene.
in the dvd player it will only get to 50% of total scens on disk.
i dont no of anyone local who has a dvdr comp dvd player to test this so im hopeing some advice may help.

it might be the discs u are using
i have had alot of probs burning movies which either freeze up in the beginning or some way down the line i thought maybe i was doinmg something wrong but i think its down to the discs
take the disc to your local dvdplayer seller and try the disc in one of their machines. Say u are thinking of buying but need to see if dvdr work in them or not!

took a visit to local dvd seller today and found 3 out of 8 tested played fine the rest locked up at similar points.
have it is a dvdr compat thing but others will play to about the lenght of a cdr not time wise but meg size and the fail.
i am off to find out more and will have a list of compatible dvd players that without saying will support dvdr.

yep...mate...agree with Rashid.... u should try another DVDR brand.... cause freezing sounds like an DVDR media prob to me .... had also the same probs at the beginning
