      Sony DVD-S315 DVD+RW compatibility

      Hello,
in a HP page I saw that my old sony dvd player DVD-S315 was compatible with DVD+RW discs.

      So I bought a Ricoh 5125 DVD+RW burner.
Yesterday I burn a DVD+RW disc with the Ricoh and Nero last version.

It played fine in my pc dvd player but refused to play in my Sony dvd player.

      Help needed !

Is my Sony dvd player compatible or not ?

If yes, what did I wrong ?

      Thanks in advance

      Unhappy Not SONY player

I can say most of the SONY DVD old or New player may not playback home make DVD-R/RW or DVD+R/RW. This I can't tell you much...not my treats. Sometimes even Home make VCD can't play at all. No disc display on SONY DVD player. If your DVD-R Play well in DVD-ROM, not a problem on other's player. Have you try other DVD player beside SONY

      hmmm...

      1. e.g. Sony 300Ns is able to read DVD-R/RW ....and it´s not very new ... and also not able to read vcd(from cdr...only from cdrw)compatibility with vcd is CDR and not the VCD....

      2. if your DVDR plays in your pc ....that means nothing ... cause if I record just the vobs on a disc they will also play on my pc ...
so u should recheck your DVD project...it could also cause the prob ...
