Panasonic dvd-rw 104

Okay, my system was set up as follows

P3 1000
512Mb ram
asus cusl2c board
GeForce 3 Ti200 graphics
Sb Live sound
ide 1 - 80Gb master, 40Gb slave
ide 2 - Lite-On 24x10x40 cdrw master,
Toshiba sdm1402 dvd slave

Burning software, Nero oem, Clone 4, Fireburner.

Everything working fine.


I bought a Panasonic 104 dvd-rw, which came with VoB Instant CD/DVD v6.4.
I've had problems in the past with Nero running alongside VoB so I decided to uninstall Nero.

I replaced the Toshiba dvd with the Panasonic ( slave on ide2 )

Now the machine locks up whenever I try to burn anything, neither VoB or Clone will work.

My initial thoughts are to remove the Lite-On and put the dvd-rw on as master.

I don't have time today to mess around with it, but if anyone has any thoughts on the matter ?

Have u try the DVDprimo soft. You can search from the forums at DVD Software.

i have a pioneer a04 and i also have a liton 48x burner I put the Pioneer into a external case by ADS FIREwire connection , and i use Bs Recorder Gold , and burning in 1x and 2x is perfect ,never any problems

Yep,don't know much about dvd burning,but I would lose VOB...no mention of it from anyone.There are better choices.

I think there is an important patch out there for VoB Instant CD/DVD v6.4 .... üsse

Hi I'm using Asus A7V333 M/B H.D Primary Master Pioneer dvd rom primary slave.Pioneer 104 Secondary master Liteon 24x cd-r secondary slave Plextor ultraplex 40x scsi.
I use Nero 5578, Clone cd. Also had Prassi Primo on at same time and never had a prob...I think they are all right...lose vob instant!

Hope ya get it sorted 104 is top dvd writer

Okay,

I lost Vob and things seem better, at least fireburner is working and I can access my drives without the whole machine locking up.

I used VoB some time ago, and actually liked the program, I don't know if the asapi layer just conflicts with the forced aspi layer in W2k or what.

Bottom line, I can burn discs again which is a relief, my C drive has only 7Gb left............. need some more dvdr !
