mmmmm.....Thanx ac3cd ......... I havent heard of that one so I looked at the webpage!! Looks a bit difficult for my tiny mind (lol)Is that just for ripping movies etc ???
I just want to burn the bin to a cd so it might be a bit different!! If its a burning prog like nero please let me know & I'll try it
search the forum and read chickenmans extensive tutorials on VCD/SVCD making
his tutorials ROCK !apparently lol dont take my word for it thousands well maby not thousands but there sworn by kick butt tutorials![]()
wobbles, if the file your talking about is an MPG file then it will burn to a so-called 700meg CDR no problems if you burn it as a VCD (or SVCD if its one of those).
If its an AVI, then get hold of some 90min CDR's and burn to them instead.
Cheers,
CM
Thanx viper.
Nero just wont action the bin file.....it says its too big for the cd (700mb)....so I used isobuster to view it & it brings up the usual group of files inc mpeg & svcd. I can open and watch the mpeg but cant burn it to disk.
Apparently there are no bigger cds available in New Zealand, I asked at the pc stores!
I might just have to save the rars to disk instead, as I have already burnt disk1 & want to be able to view the whole film when I can!! lol its a nuisance tho!!![]()
Heres what you can do 1. get VCD gear 2. extract the movie 3. Load into your favorite cutting program (ex. TMPGEnc: mpg tools or VCD cutter and trim it off or cut it in half. Pretty simple...abc type stuff...........Hope this helps.
Thanx bigten, I will experiment with that one!!![]()
Another bit of advice is dont use Nero for bin files.
Its great for making compliant vcd/svcd from compliant .mpg files.
For burning bin/cue use burnatonce (great little proggie) or cdrwin.
If u need to extract the .mpg then just use isobuster (youve got it!) just select "filter only m2f2 mpeg frames".
Ok......after reducing the file with isobuster I downloaded burnatonce & burned the cd? its all on there but I cant open it with any of my mediaplayers!! please can anyone tell me whats missing now??? thanx all!!![]()
Do u know what format the movie is in?
If svcd or vcd try downloading windvd (if u havent already!)
1. You need codecs (divx-digest.com) and get Nimos ccodec pack.
2. If codecs arent the problem get PowerDVD or WinDVD.
3. If you still cant get it to play...Then you got a little work to do lets us know.
thanx for more help BigTen!
I already have nimocodec installed & powerdvd but it hasnt worked!! I went to Divx Digest site but I seem to have all the necessary bits!! (I dont usually have any probs with movies etc!! lol)
I notice that with my other recorded cds (which play) the mpeg2 file opens to avseq01.dat but in this one it opens to avseq01.mpg.........could this have something to do with the problem??![]()
I dont think winoncd will be any different to powerdvd but I'll give it a try!! hahaha (so much choice.......so little success!!)
Thanx again
avseq01.dat are mpeg 1 files (vcd)
avseq01.mpg are mpeg 2 files (svcd)
A good player of svcd is WinDVD.
wobbles, just burn the original cue/bin files with CDRWIn and you will not have any problems and what you have is a SVCD. CDRWin wrote the book on Cue/Bin files, why try and use come other program to burn with other than the real thing. No need to extract anything, just load in CUE file and burn.
Cheers,
