Two svcd movies on one DVD-R

I've created a dvd with two svcds on one dvd-r, it works fine in my PS2 and on the PC. Now the trouble, when I play it in my standalone player (sony 7700) the screen looks very funny.
I got 1½ picture on the screen, I've got the normal picture, and right of this I've got ½ of the same picture of the movie again.
The Sony player plays svcd on cd's without any trouble. I've changed the resoulution in the first sector to 352 x 576, to get into the authoring program, and then changed it back before compiling the project. It seems the player is the trouble, anyone got a way around this problem ?

      Question 352 x 576 ???

Hi there... The SVCD 352 x 576 you have been anthoring is correctly. But changed it back before compiling the project ? ? ?

Our DVD setop player only support reg code from 1 - 6. As resoulution is PAL 720 X 576 and NTSC 704 X 576 Full D1.
So any thing from 352 x 576 or 352 x 288 will can't be play from our DVD setop palyer.

The DVD-R write software you used must be support DVD setop player.

Yes, I change it back before compiling, to 480x576. I use Nero, and Its only when I try to make a svc on dvd-r this happens. If I have the film on a normal cd, then it works as it should. A copy of a normal DVD movie also works ok. Looks like the only way is to change the movie to 720x576, or play them from cds.
