rempeg convert problem

when i convert a ripped dvd in tempg2 it takes on average
30 hours plus.am i doing something wrong because when a
mate of mine does his it takes between 12 and 24 hours at most.

what cpu do u have .... it depends on your machine how long this takes .... I do a 3 pass in about 6 hours *lol*

hmm... I have an amd 1700Xp ... and I need for a 1.5 hours DVD Movie app. 2 hours to transcode .... (I use Cinemacraft Encoder) but I think your settings r wrong cause tmpeg isn´t that slow...

3 pass means--> e.g. Cinemacraft Encoder does this job 3 times ( up to 9 times[I think] ) for better results
