lip sinc (can it be fixed)

      hi.

Got a none original dvd film which has the lip sinc out by a split second. Namely the people speak and the sound follows a split second afterwards. What i would like to know is there anyway to sort this problem out and burn another dvd with the lip sync back inline.

got a pioneer a104 dvd writer and most software that is required for ripping, burning etc.

      many thanks john

Rip it using Smartripper,in MOVIE MODE, if the audio has delay, then correct it using AC3DELAY available at doom9.org.
The file name for the audio will have "delay -80ms" or something similar if there is audio delay.

It may not be the problem, but it's the only 1 I've come accross.

      Good Luck

      what software are u using?
I have had lip sink problems with A04 when using unilead movie factory to author files. Changed to spruceup and problems have gone away.

as dogznob said ...some Audio Streams have delay ... that means they start after the movie has started .... use "AC3DelayCorrector" a small handy tool
If u use DVD2AVI it will set the correct settings for u ...and cut the stream into the right length ....
