I'm using Nero 5.5.8.2 and the burning speed that is available to me is 1x only.. writing to a DVD-R.
The brand of the media:
Infiniti Professional - 4.7Gb
Gold top and bordeaux coloured writing surface.
I must point out, I have the DVD writer as slave on the 2nd Ide ribbon, closest to the board, a Lite-On LTR 32123S as master, at the end of the ribbon.
Is this a media problem or a Nero problem? I have just had this drive 24 hours so it might just be me being green about the edges..
btw, copied an ' adult ' title perfectly at 1x.
Just under 4Gb.
Thanks for any input.

I knew the answer before you posted it, but I was hoping it wouldn't be the one that appeared (in denial), as the certified media are also the most expensive, here in Ireland.. the diff. is in the region of 10euro, what's in a name... nobrand 6 Pioneer 16...
