Unhappy ripping dvd audio only and making an audio cd.

being a movie fan i would like to rip the audio only from a dvdf
and make it into an audio cd which will play in a normal cd player.

      Anyone know.

First you need to rip the Movie (and audio) part from DVD to your HD. Use SmartRipper and if its a Music/Video DVD it will have say 13 tracks on it. You will note in SmartRipper there will be 13 Chapters. If this is the case, then go to Settings and sellect for File Splitting - Every Chapter. This will now separate out all the individual sonds to each VOB file. Now run DVD2AVI and load ONE only VOB file, select the Audio options, like Normalize and Dynamic Rang Control to Low. Save project. Repeat for each VOB file and soon you will have all 13 individual WAV files ready to burn to an AUDIO CD.

Read the DVD to VCD tutorial (in the Tutorial section) for URL's of the programs and some further help.

      Cheers.

Use Smartripper to rip the Movie to your HD, dont try any fancy Audio extraction.

Then run DVD2AVI 1.76, (d/l from h**p://arbor.ee.ntu.edu.tw/~jackei/dvd2avi/ load in VOB files and in Audio, click 48 -> 44.1 to High. Then save project. Soon you will have one large WAV file of the audio track of the WHOLE CD. Edit it, do what you want with it.

Have a look at the DVD to (S)VCD Tutorial in Tutorial section for further explanation on how to rip with Smartripper and DVD2AVI.

      Talking FlaskDCSS

Some version of Flaskmpeg can extract audio directly from dvd to a .wav file.
You can use also Flask XIS version.
Take them at dvd.box.sk at divx software section!
      Enjoy!
