DVD to VCD/DIVX

Can anyone help me I'm looking for a very quick way of converting dvd to either vcd or divx without spending hundreds of pounds on new hardware...can i use my Voodoo TV/FM at all if yes how????? what software do i need I've tried all the guides and it still takes 12-15hrs trying to get this down to 5-6hrs anyone know how to tell my voodoo tv card to see my dvd drive as a source and capture direct from dvd via the card....can this be done??

No, your not going to be able to output your DVDROM to your TV/FM Card.

Have a read of my Tutorials on conversion to VCD and you may pick up a few pointers to help speed things up a bit.

Converting to DivX is quicker than to VCD and the newer program, Xmpeg 4.2a (from h**p://www.mp3guest.com/Xmpeg_Index.asp?l=US ) is faster than FlastMPEG 0.6

Thanxs I didn't think using my tv card would work looks like i need to spend some hard earned cash and upgrade to something a bit better...could i maybe use a all-in-wonder pci card???????
