      New versions of SmartRipper

New versions of SmartRipper have come out in the last few days. ver 2.37 and 2.38 have a major bug in the encoding engine so DO NOT use these and get the new 2.39 that works properly.

      Cheers.

Sorry gettygas, but SmartRipper is for copying a DVD to you HD and removing the encryption.

If you want to convert an audio wma to wav so you can burn it to a CD then, I always use good old Goldwave. Just load the wma in and save out as a wav. A lot of other Audio Editors can do the same. You can get Goldwave 4.25 from h**p://www.goldwave.com/ and a crack for it by searching at w*w.astalavista.com

I must be using an older version of your tutorial. I'm using cladDVD to rip to my hard drive. How much better is Smart ripper.

Boondi, yes you must be. I update them regularly so check out the latest in the Tutorial section.

I use to use CladDVD but have found a number of recent DVD's that Clad will not rip correctly and also introduces audio sync problems at times. Smartripper rips everything, never found a DVD it cant handle and the ripping speed is generally a bit faster as well.

      Cheers.

Yep tried it, seems to work okay with one exception.

The creation of the *.d2v files doesnt work. Only creates a PAL based *.d2v file (even if an NTSC DVD) and mixes up VOB 1 with 2 ! So just turn that feature off and all is well.

      Cheers & Merry Christmas.
