Cool Unexpected computer shutdown (AVI->DVD)

I am using the guide "How to convert your DivX to DVD±R " of ChickenMan.
I've successfully converted 6 or 7 AVI files, when it happened first time - DVD2SVCD finishes converting audio and just shutdowns the computer.
I have AMD Athlon XP 2400 2Ghz, 736 Mb RAM, at least 16 GB free on harddisk, OS Win XP professional.
BTW, after this unexpected shutdown I cannot boot my computer until switching off and on the power button.
I tried to reinstall all the components mentioned in the guide, but it did not help.
Event Viewer does not show anything related. Neither the DVD2SVCD log files.
Does anybody know what is the problem?

A PC shut down is a hardware problem. Either your cpu fan is clogged, overclocking cpu or memory or your memory is sus. Suggest you check all them out.

Avisynth (used in DVD2SVCD) and CCE will turn your PC on at 100% cpu utilization. Any problem with cpu or memory will very quickly shut it down.
