      why does it jump??

i have ben having a few problems with my vcd dvd rips. once i rip them i am getting times in the films when the clip will go like slow motion then move again , and also sometimes the peple will speak and the audio will follow like a second later. how do i get around this. i am using

      smart ripper

      dvd 2 avi

      and tmpgencoder

can anyone recommend this method or a different method that works better?? dont get me wrong the film quality is great since i started using the tibro template for tmpgencoder. any suggestions would be appreciated and anyone willing to send me screenshots of the programs above with their setting i would be truly thankfull.

      cheers people

The DVD2AVI/TMPGEnc method does produce the best quality by far for a VCD. TMPGEnc has a problem in that it does not re-mux the video to adio in the corect packet size.

I'm sure your problem will be solved if you read the last paragraph of my DVD to VCD tutorial. M1 or M2 Edit is what you need. Read back through the posts for a d/l link.
      Cheers,
      CM
