tmpg enc not recognising

i have always ripped dvds the following way

smart ripper and rip to hard drive
dvd 2 avi and create a project file
tmpgencoder and load in the project file
load a template and off i go

i recently formatted my hard drive and since i downloaded dvd 2 avi and tmpgenc again tmpg encoder has been unable to recognise the dvd 2 avi project file no matter what i do. i have tried installing the vfapi plugin the lot but to no avail, anyone got any solutions , suggestions etc they would be appreciated

You MUST put the DVD2AVI.VFP file into the folder you have TMPGEnc installed in. The best solution is to have DVD2AVI & TMPGEnc both installed in the same folder.

Then run TMPGEnc, click Options / Enviroment Settings / VFAPI plug-in and check that you have a tick against DVD2AVI Project File Reader 1.76
