on the main site you can get the pro version ..
Got and test for yourself ...

I didn´t test the encoder yet, but the player seems to rock !
But, yeah only tested for 5 mins or so

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but after installing 5.0 i can no longer capture usable video w/ my all-in-wonder in the divx form. Whenever i look at my video it shows the first shot, but it won't move from there until it gets to the end, and at that point the final frame is horrendous. I don't know enough about this to suggest sticking with 4.12, but as far as my capture needs go i'm going to have to go back to 4.12.

If anyone else has had similar problems and can offer a solution i would be very greatful to hear about it.

Tried to encode to DivX with Vidomi. Selecting DivX4 brings up DivX 5 but when I hit the Encode button, it all crashes. I'll keep trying.

I also ran VirtualDUB to check video capturing and I now get "cannot find any capture card" Hmm....

      Cool To videofreaks!!!

What is your first thoughts of divx5??Worth keepingit or to go back on 4 or3.Also for regular people who encode maybe 1 movie in week(but want good quality),pro version is a must,or free noad version can deliver too. Also, that additional settings in pro are necessery for encoding or i dont need them(they are not for encoding)????

I've just had a crash of my Win2000 system, so decided for XP, so still setting it up. I'll re-look as DivX 5 shortly.

Chicken is going a mile a minute for me !

Also, when you checking it,do you have any explanation for this??--basic divx5 is 2.7mb,adpoweredpro5 is2.9,and pro5 is3mb.If divxpro5spyware is 2.9.pro5 without spyware could be only smaller--cose its a same without spyware(at least thats a written on divx site)???

Yes, the file lengths dont make sence to me either.

I installed XP on my PC and installed DivX5 and couldnt get any of my DivX movies to actually play. All I get a black screen with the audio playing!

I tried Vidomi again. No crash this time, but the divx it makes has a line of Pixel blocks jumping through the picture every now and then !

Have gone back to Win2000 and still doing the same. Taken it off and now using DivX 4.12 and all is working perfectly again.
