      It doesn't want to convert some .avi files and some looks ok in avi format but turn out like crap after.Settings problem?

      You really cant expand AVI's to full screen or even parly if they are in any Widescreen format. They just dont have enough pic data to support any expansion. End result if you do is crap.

      You should always turn Soften Block Noise on for an AVI and if blocking is really bad, then increase the default 35 up to 50 or 60. Motion Search should always be set to Highersty Quality (slowest) to get any good results as well.

      Always Normalize the sound of an AVI, 90% are never at 100.

      As for TMPGEnc not accepting some AVI's, I've found with DivX Codec 4.12 and 3.11a both installed, it will pick up 95% of AVI's, there is always an odd one that was done with something else and then the Krystal Codec pack seems to solve them.
