I'm looking for some opinions on what is the best DVD to VCD software out there. Key features for me is quality of the output, speed and ease of use. Any input would be apprecated.

If quality is what your after, there is none better than the DVD2AVI/TMPGEnc method. A tutorial is posted here in Tutorial section.
If speed/conveniance is what your after, then DVDx (new version 1.8 from h**p://www3.labdv.com/dvdx ) is what your after. A tutorial is at their site.
Simply forget the rest!
