Xing better then TEMPGEnc, your are a funny man! Personally I find the only use of Xing is as a Multiplexor where it can mux Video with a WAV audio file. But for AVI to VCD, Honestech 3.0 is much better but audio CANNOT be compressed in the AVI file for it to be accepted. The best is TMPEnc 2.51 followed by Panasonic Encoder (standalone) 2.51 (thats not a typo, both have exactly the same version number !)

I have only mentioned XingEncoder in the DivX to VCD tutorial.

You can replace Xing with Wombles MPEG2VCR ver 3.x to Multiplex the Audio & Video files together. Click Tools/Multiplex. Then load in Audio file, Video file. select MPEG-1 System Stream Video-CD. Enter a valid output file name (include .mpg ) and hit Save.
