      Question Commercial Audio CD's

My daugther gave me a commercial CD to copy it but up to now I have burn it with many programms and only producing garbage. The problem is that this Audio Cd has a built in player that takes control of the CD. If you brose it with explorer you don't see the regular track list but some other files. Sorry for my ignorance but I think that it needs some other procedure in order to copy it. If somebody knows something please comment.

I dont have it with me right now but Nero gave it as copy protected and Clone Cd after producing the image file when tried to copy it gave me a message that TOC on the image is not right. Actually there are two sessions on the Audio Cd one session with 12 Tracks and a second session with a 13th track.

If a cd is working in home stereo cd player, and doesent work in pc,also clonecd shoving vrong toc and 2 sesions are there instead of tracks, means is protected 99%.Dont have big experince with it,but i copied 1 of them for my ex girlfriend and it worked>What i would recomend is;go to cd freaks(lots of articles about audioprotection),try feurio or eac>>best both of them>>for feurio 1.64 has been said that can do!!!And what i did and worked perfect and recomending 100% is in the attacment, just be carefull what os you use;this is for 95,98,98se,me,all 9x sistems.Dont work for nt,2000,xp

Thanks for the help. I have to check the type of protection and I'll come back. Feurio does not support my writer.

      Commercial CD

Is this one of those "enhanced" CDs? The only way I have ever
copied one of those was to rip the audio tracks with something
like Audiograbber. To heck with all that other stuff.

With 12 Audio tracks and then one more track, sounds like a CD Extra disk to me.

Just extract the 12 audio tracks to HD as WAV files using EAC ( w*w.exactaudiocopy.de ) and burn back to an Audio CD using your favorite software.

I've tried this but it didn't work. It looks like the 13th track has information for the 12 tracks and somehow must be together in order for the CD to work properly.

What ver of Windows you running? If Win 9x, get the CDFS zip file above, unzip and overwrite the file in windows/system/iosubsys folder. Put CD in cdrom & reboot system. Then with explorer log onto the CD. If the 12 tracks are seen, just drog and drop them to HD selecting 16bit stereo. Hope that helps.

Also, this will works better then anything but audio freaks are going to scream.Just put cd in regular cd player, unplugit, and plug in sound card>>>like you do with vinyl or tapes>>when you wanna record to hd>>>tryed with all audioprotections in canada>>>bulletproff safe>>cant go wrong>>and easiest.Push play, recordit 1 file done>>open in in soundforge if you wanna cut it on tracks,or use some ****ware like audiograbber, lpripper, singulator>>to find the gaps for you This night i talked to my contrymen back home, and he confirmed that he ripped succesfully 4cds with feurio.Didnt try cdfs method, cose he is running 2000prof,and dont have another mashine!!!!So let us know whats happened

To roadworker or somebody who knows !!!!!!!!!!

Back home where im from there are lot of pirated audio cds. They are copied with big pro sistems>>so they are copied succesfully with protection included, and logically cd is acting as genuine audio protected cd.They are playing on my stereo so i dont mine them, but if my friends asked me i would like to copy them????How i can know which protection is there,do i should go with feurio, eac, cdfs, direct sound cart input........is it any rule like, number of sesions, tracks, gaps, pregaps, indexs, markers, cose now i have access to protected cds in canada too,so i would like to be able to copy them all!!!!!!>>problem is that i have to give the cd back in few days, kind of borroving them,so i cannot afford to look long time for solution

If player.exe connected to wmp.exe is the culprit your CD is protected with Macrovisions CDS200 which it sounds like it is. There will also be a hidden file in the dir called version.txt

This protection isn't very hard to defeat. If you are using cloone CD4 with an audio copy, make sure you tick the button "rip only first session" and clone will copy ONLY the audio tracks and it will leave the CDS session alone as we don't need it.

Another way is to download ISObuster www.isobuster.com and simply extract the audio files into wavs and reburn (rebuild) the audio CD.

sounds to me more like your more common multimedia album that works both in a stereo system and in the computer for added extras

duplicate with the "cd-extra" profile in clone cd

      or with alcohol 120%

if worst case scenario that its uncopyable then the good old LINE in socket on the soundcard ...comes into use CRUDE but effective over 100% of AUDIO protections defeated worldwide lol
