      DVD to divx with subtitles?

Sorry about being a noob but I have not found a way to convert ripped DVD's with optional subtitles into a divx file.

I went thru all the tutorials and only found ChickenMan's tutorial to VCD.

Is it possible to encode to divx and have the subtitles included?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, if you follow the "DVD to VCD with or without Subtitles" method but select the OpenDML AVI Output instead of the Panasonic Encoder, then you will end up with a DivX.

You will need to enter the pic size you want and also chop off the top and bottom black bands, if the movie has them.

You will need to have the DivX Codec installed and use a Bitrate calculator to calculate the video Bit Rate needed to fit the DivX to the CDR(s) you intend to write to.
      Cheers,
      CM
