      Desperately need help joining files

I tried to convert a dvd to divx for the first time. The conversion has gone very well. However, now that I am at the point of joining the files, I have run into a problem. It won't allow me to append the files because they have "different sampling rates." I set everything the same in Flaskmpeg for all the vob files. Can someone tell me what to do?

      Thank you,

Why are you converting each VOB file to DivX and then trying to joining them?

I assume your using FlaskMPEG 0.6 then use the attached file (just copy to your folder where you have FlaskMPEG) and it will allow you to load in the whole movie and convert in one go.

Sorry, I cant help you with your current converted DivX files, you may have to re-encode the whole movie again.

      use
      xmpeg 4.02
      load up the first VOB
and it adds all the others automatically

sarahjh, thats because they already include the Thunder.mism file in its final release. FlaskMPEG does not because of some legal reason.

      Joining 2 DivX together

I am trying to join 2 divx together as described in the chikenman tutorial for 'Divx to DVD-R coversion' but i am also getting the same error saying two different sampling rates. I am using VirtualDub...is there a way around it, please help!

What I then do is encode both halves separately to 1/2 a dvdr (in Bitrate tab of D2S, use 2200 and not 4400) then usthor in Maestro or DVDLab and link the end of the first movie to the start of the next. See http://www.mediachance.com/dvdlab/tutorial/svcd.html point 8 for help with joining using DVDLab.

If you are re-encoding then just join with AVISynth.

Personally I wouldn't recommend using Flask or XMPEG, try encoding with VirtualDubMod instead.

yeah ,better get a proggie interface like gordian knot that will facilitate ur life was a user of flask & xmpeg but dump it coz they were 2 buggy & less flexible

In the name of God,impure souls of the living dead shall be banished into eternal damnation.Amen
