You should be able to use TMPGEnc, the same way as if it was an ASF to convert to MPG.

Asftools 2.3 will cut, join & repair ASF and WMV files, get it from their home page at h**p://www.geocities.com/myasftools/

Yes, for making MPEG1 files its free, for MPEG2 its a 30 day trial. From www.tmpgenc.net However, if you search for a older TMPGEnc ver 12a, it has both MPEG1 & MPEG2 encoding for free.

v3 express is out to now which I think is no longer free for MPEG1, there is still a free trial available though.

Must admit I have not tried v3 yet, I hear it is quicker, could simply be explained by the fact that it looks like it now processes in YUY2 instead of RGB24 though.

      TMPGEnc Express is faster!
By about 2 minutes in a 2hour avi conversion.
What a waste. I'll stick with 12b for the rare times that I even use it.
Mainconcept beats tmpgenc in all areas, all the time.
