      Flask and cinemacraft

I have the lates flask 0.6 preview, and cinemacraft encoder 2.62, how can I use the encoder as a plug in for flask?
the plugin section on flask does not seem to see the encoder, they are installed on different dirs of course, or is there a plugin version of cinemacraft encoder for flask?
Same thing with Ligos LSX, I have the program and I would like to use it as plugin for encoding through flask.
      Any ideas?

When you installed CCE, the option to install it as a Pluggin was greyed out. Thats because you dont have Adobe Priemier installed on your system (remember, all these plugins are for Premier).

There is a file that you run (adds to the registry) prior to installing CCE that lets it think it has Premier on your system. Then install the pruggin into the Flask folder and rename the file to cce.cm.flask and then it will be seen.

As for Ligos, cant remember and why bother, absolute crap quality and slower then CCE.

      Cheers.

      Hi ChickenMan...two questions

      1) I attempted to download the attachment 3 or 4 times, no errors but when open it with winzip it is empty...??
Is it possible 4 u send me the file (i think it will be usefull 4 me in the future) to this address hodabuttalla@yahoo.it, otherwise please tell me where could i find it (doom9 or something else...)

      2) Well be patient i don't know if it is lecit ask 4 it but i try anyway...I need a full version of cinemacraft but can't find it , if u can & if u have suggestions e-mail me...i'll look here 4 possible answers.

      Thumbs up

Thanks for the info, the same thing applies to Ligos LSX encoder?
and please reupload the file because when downloaded gives me an empty zip.
      One more question:
      1) Do I have to uninstall CCE and then repeat the whole proccess?
      2) Is it the old 2.50 version of CCE better than the new 2.62?

I mainly want to use flask/cce combo to reencode downloaded Divxx avi files (movies) into VCD/SVCD mpegs, what is the best soft combo for this? because I have your guides for vcd and svcd and they start from DVD ripping, but what if I start from an downloaded avi file that needs to be corrected to be reencoded?
Example: screen size, audio not compliant with vcd, enhace image quality for vcd etc.
Because as you know, for avi viewing on a pc, as the screen is usually smaller than tv, the image quality is not allways good and I would like to take the best out of some movie rips that usually don't see very sharply as vcd

      relative, you have mail.

As for the downloading, yes there appears to be a problem with attaching small files. I will raise this with N.B. I have eddited my original post showing the script in the file.

pimp0, you can get the Ligos suite from the above site and it includes the plugin as well. Using Flask/CCE is ONLY good for SVCD. Dont even attempt it for VCD as they will come out as crap. But for SVCD, excellent. Yes, uninstall CCE first. Run REG file, then re-install. Use ver 2.50 as it works, not the 2.62.

I have posted 2 Tutorials, one is for DVD to (S)VCD and other is DivX (AVI) to VCD. The later is the one you need to follow. Have a read.

Getting the best out of DivX (AVI) to (S)VCD always depends on the quality of the original DivX. If its a 90min movie and the AVI file is less than 500meg long, I wouldnt even bother converting (let alone download!) Those movies have been encoded with a low bit rate and the quality is not very good and then converting to VCD will make it worse. Basically the bigger the AVI file, the better the quality will be.

      Cheers.

      Wink

Thank you for a very quick response to my post, as you say CCE is only good for SVCD, that's very good to know. I will read more deeply your guide and do as you suggested for CCE, I have the demo of CCE 2.50, if you have the full version I would like to grab it too, sorry for bothering you so much and thanks again for your valuable info.
As for spanish, if you need any translation about something drop me a line, I know spanish.

Why dont you just simply use DVD2SVCD to make your SVCD's, its far simpler and WILL produce the best results. It can use your 2.62 (not as a pluggin) but use Link2 as the frame server (Yes Link2 does just produce a fake file that CCE can read).

My posted Tutorial has a method for cropping a widescreen 2.3:1 down to a 16:9 or a 16:9 movie down to a 4:3 full screen.

I'm running an AMD 1800+ and using CCE 2.50 without any problems what-so-ever.
      Cheers,
      CM
