*.PAR Extensions Format?

Hi, i have load from Net a rar-Archive for get a PS2 Game.. in this Archive are Files with Extensions *.PAR... i dont know this Format and need to know: What for a Format is it? Is it a Format like Rar or Zip? When YES.. how can i unpack it + make a BIN or ISO File for Burn it under Windows..

PAR = Parity, used with a suitable program (eg Smartpar) to substitute missing/damaged parts.

However, since multipart and PAR's are usually illegal warez, we cannot assist you further.
