      newbie, can ps2 paly ps1?

Hi, i'm newbie to playstation. I'm planning to buy playstation 2 with modchip soon for my nephew.

Can playstation2 play burned playstation1 games?
Can playstation2 play burned playstation2 games?
Do i need to make copy of PS2 games using DVD writer?
is there a way you can put PS2 games on CD-R instead of DVD-R?
and is there anything else i need to know.

well some questions i can answer and some i cant (new rules etc)
any ps2 will play psx games (originals)
depending on what chip you get fitted...
you can play psx imports (originals)
you can play legitimatly held (fair use) psx backups from any region
      ps2 originals from any region
legitimatly held (fair use) ps2 backups from any region

thats all i can say on the matter i'm afraid, but i will say most ps2 originals are on dvd now

as for putting dvd's onto cdr thats something i cant say under the no warez rule, but i will say its not likely that you could do it from your own discs.

NTL Broadband read all about it Here, not on NThelL? if they succeed how long before other providers follow suit?
