      Koepi's XviD Codec Build 14022003-1

Koepi's XviD Codec is a video codec just like DivX. Many new movies and videos are being encoded with this codec.

      Changes in Current Version:
      Activated experimental AC-HQ-PREDICTION
Added vfw support for sysKin's revised DCT ME (VHQ mode)
Preliminary hack against dark blocks in bframes
      Koepi
      Tanx You!

Suxen_drol made chroma optimization an xvid-option via flags, so I added VfW support for it (see the debug-tab). Chroma optimization interpolates colour information in very bright or dark areas which helps stair effects on edges a bit.

      Latest development (unstable) binary:
      XviD-15022003-1.exe (417kb)
      Changelog:
      - Fresh CVS checkout.
      - Added vfw support for suxendrol's chroma optimizer.

download from the link above in rastas post

Thanks guys, there are almost daily updates of the Xvid codec so to continue to report them would actually fill the forum very quickly. And besides they are all Betas and most dont work properly anyway.

The most stable and working Codec is still the XviD-04102002-1.exe (411kb) one.
      Cheers,
      CM

Tried the Koepi Build XviD Codec mentioned by CM. Did not like it as Virtualdub would not open the movie nor did the codec appear in my XP system¨Device Manager list but WMP still played it. So tried the UManiac Build XviD which works fine in WMP and Virtualdub and is listed in Device Manager.
But like CM says there are daily builds and all builds are alpha so I could have got a bad build
