AspiCHK shows all v. 471 after runing "instal.bat x86" for win2000. Has there been any update?

      Adaptec ASPI Drivers 4.72

Adaptec released new ASPI drivers. Should I use this version or the older 4.70 (under Windows XP)?

I wonder if these will allow support of USB/Firewire devices... Also, does it need the registry patch?
      Cheers,
