      Antivirus on XP

Tried Norton 2002, had loads of problems slow operation and freezes whilst virus scan was enabling. Asked advice of a friend who pointed me towards Ontrack Fix it 4.0 Utils, very much like Nort Sys works. Has its own updatable virus proggy which seems to work very well. I'm going to stick with it for a while.

      Angry Symantec 2002

Nortons 2002 has worked fine with no unusual happenings except that the update feature fails to operate and simple locks up. This is not good. I cannot determine whether the problem exits with XP or Norton AV

F-Secure v5.30 does not work with WinXP!! From today, there's a new version, v5.31, which does (at last! ).

It still has problems with the XP Switch user function though. Therefore I'll try v4.0 of Kaspersky's AV for some time.

And have in mind that all good programs for XP (eg the stunning O@O defragger) came out LAST.
But still, it does not support fast user switching (v5.31 doesn't either )

No, I haven't. I'm also having troubles finding a valid key for v5.31 of F-Secure Workstation...

I plan to live forever, so far so good! Sometimes you just want to go where everyone knows you're name.
